Where are the lawsuits that were promised? I hope this doesn't mean that the USEF is giving in. I noticed in an email from USEF counsel that one of the conditions was that they not publicise any scheduled meetings. What could they possibly have to discuss!

Yup! My husband commonly uses the phrase "we had to 302 someone" while describing work happenings as a LEO.

Would USEF, as a private member club we all pay dues for, not have something somewhere in its by laws in reference to rescinding a membership at their discretion? That would seem like the simplest course of action. This member has certainly exhibited enough "symptoms" that I believe USEF would be justified.

As the Equestrian NGB, they are bound by certain statutes that do not bind other private member clubs.

However... for any USEF people reading this... if it turns out we need to alter the Ted Stevens Amateur Sports Act... sign us all up to be your petition army.

Why is the moderator allowing Amberhill to post a link to documents concerning legal communications that clearly have content in them from EM's attorney that is labeled confidential and privileged? Is COTH now becoming the WikiLeaks of the equestrian community in the US? COTH should not be a forum for anyone to advance their personal legal agenda.
