Registry help (KWPN, OLD/ISR, RISDH)- Worth the work for Register B?
My RIDSH (a Bellman baby) is bred to Oswald for a March/April foal. My first breeding, maiden mare, idiot about registries (fair warning), so praying for some sunday-schooled guidance here.
Oswald was advertised as a "KWPN stallion. Approved ISR/Oldenburg, RPSI & AWR" Pedigree: Juventus x Rossini x Kommandeur. Turns out he's only a VB stallion, so with the foal only being eligible for register B papers- is it worth a try? His offspring here in good ole Georgia mainly go the OLD/ISR route and that's about it.
I may just for kicks and giggles try for RIDSH since it's going to be 1/4 Irish, but I'm not holding my breathe there, especially since my beloved Tony and Sarah are back in England and can't be handlers for me again lol..
Can anyone talk me through options, likelihoods, opinions, inspections, etc. for mom and baby? I know the caliber of the foal in question isn't born yet haha, and I'm planning to keep it, but I want to properly prepare since this is my first dive into the foaling and registry pool. Thank you!
I'm prejudiced of course but I would go IRISH. I also have a Bellman daughter I might breed this spring
Who knows, maybe Tony and Sarah could be persuaded to come back for inspections. He handled Sophie for hers https://plus.google.com/photos/10340...20048748052786
