    Here's a blog post about it. I wondered if it had anything to do with Sombrero Ranch--they run nose to tail trail rides up in Estes Park and apparently in other locations as well. I didn't realize they had space to pasture that many horses over the winter.

    I too was thinking Sombrero ranch drive, that is the only one left I know that handles that many horses at once.

    Unfortunately, that's because they sell off the ones that won't do well over the winter the previous fall. Some go to new homes, but a lot go to slaughter.
