I'm not even a huge Anky fan, but I got a little emotional watching that! I've never retired a horse, but I can only imagine the feelings after coming that far.

What a horse, what a pair. I loved seeing them together. Anky got emotional on both occasions - on thursday and on saturday - the very last time they rode the "kuur op muziek".

Such lovely music. I assume someone composed it especially for them?

And I have to admit, I chuckled to see that even after all this time, Sal wouldn't completely halt at the finish. He's leaving with that move trademarked.

The music was composed by the piano player in the video, Wibi Soerjadi.

Bon Fire just turned 30, Salinero is retired, so what's next for Anky? Secret weapon Upido?

I've enjoyed watching Salinero and Anky competing over the years. So lovely to see him looking so incredibly happy and sound while retiring at the age of 19 with such an impressive list of accomplishments. Kinda cute to see him pull his "patented move" for his farewell. Good boy, Sal, enjoy your well earned retirement.

I hope Upido will be the next move. Bonfire turned 30 indeed. Nice to see that the horses stay fit and well! Sal did look terrific and fit in their last ride.
