Default Eventing Riders : see two threads in Breeding forum re planned eventing studbook

I have started two threads in the Breeding forum on the world's first eventing studbook, which will be launched in the near future. I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts through the forum, private message, or email (tom@irish-warmblood.com or tom@morningside-stud.com). Thank you.

    Bump.

I think this looks like a very interesting project. We complain about not enough event-bred horses in this country (though we aren't necessarily willing to pay for it...), this is a good step towards giving more recognition to the purpose-bred event horse and tracking their breeding.

Great idea, can you re post it here? I can't find it in the Breeding section (not enough coffee yet.)

    Thanks CMIUC

    Hi Tom

Can you talk about registering foals and having inspections for foals? Then if the foal as an adult fails to be what we want, he/she does not receive full status.

As a first time serious breeder and eventer, I have a mare in foal and hopefully am breeding for eventing. I did a lot of research and looking around until I found the right Tb stallion for my mare who is a Tb as well. My purpose is to breed purpose bred Thoroughbreds for eventing. . . I'm very very serious.

Tom, this does look interesting but I just haven't had the time to read the fine print and give it all some good thinking.

I will do so when things get quieter.
