I watched the Morris video.
I do a lot of "moving his feet" that way. I can move his hind end and then move his front end. It does help. He is very smart about it.
I guarantee that my trainer uses way more leg then me. He is a very "loud rider" uses his seat hands and leg.
I am a hunter rider that used to show crazy TB's, so I learned to sit like a mouse on a horse.
I know when he is going to try and mess around and can get him working before he even attempts to hop in the air, but I still have to plead with him to stay forward.
If I bridle him, he slows down, go around a corner he slows down, ask for a change he slows down....
So I just need to get my big girl pants on and tell him go means go!
Well, the rain helped me today!
We jumped well and he was much better going forward.
The dressage whip really helps, I just have to learn to not plead with my leg too long before I ask with the whip.
It is a bad habit for me to keep pleading instead of making him go!
