Is there a cost? I am not sure I can sign up though as I don't have unlimited or high speed internet and I think it would run me over :-(

I'm curious about the advantage of discussing the course on the facebook group is versus, say, here in this thread.

I just requested to join the FB group.
I've been signed up for the course for months, I'm excited that it's finally starting!
This will be the foruth course I've taken through Coursera. Their interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and the videos have always played well even though my internet is unreliable and my computer is in its death throes. So if anyone has never taken an online class before, don't be scared off!

This thread is public and shows up in Google searches, while the Facebook group is private, only visible to the members.
Kind of like getting together with your friends at the library in one of the meeting rooms.
There should be a discussion forum associated with the course as well -- that would be like asking questions in class where the instructor and other students can hear you.

In February, a friend told me about the Coursera Equine Nutrition Course. Even though I've had horses for 40 years, there's always something new to learn and I loved the course. It was very informative and well done. I hope they offer more horse related courses in the future.

This has been a really fun and interesting course. I've learned some things and had many bits of knowledge validated, clarified, and strengthened. I have a stronger understanding for the underlying reasons for what I do as well.
I too have to finish week 5 this week!

I just finished my final! Yay. It is a long one compared to the quizzes.
It was an interesting course that was very well done. Made me think back to how much fun I had in undergrad dabbling in animal science courses for the fun of it!

It started 5 weeks ago, you'll probably have to wait until its offered again to take the course now. It ends on Monday.

Finished!
I think they did a very nice job with the course. I hope they continue to polish it up and offer it regularly - it's good info, very current, very comprehensive, and it's set up to be very accessible but also to be a first year college course.
