Creative way to make eating with grazing muzzle more challenging?
My Fjord gelding has a large head, but apparently a very fine and nimble muzzle. To have a muzzle fit, he needs a large horse size. The hole is too big, and he's eaten it a touch wider still.
Anyone have a good way to make getting the grass through the hole more challenging? I was sort of envisioning attaching some wire mesh to the outside, crating some smaller openings within the larger opening....make sense?
I've seen one where the creator took very sturdy wire (like hog panel wire) and put 2 wires across the hole, fastening that down with some sort of rubber glue (like roofing stuff?) to make the hole divided into 3 parts. Think Hannibal Lecter's mask.
