My son is looking at U.W. for a PhD in astro-biology. That's at least 5-7 years of work. His horse is going to be old and gray by the time he finishes. His horse is currently living with me in Va., so it won't be exactly convenient for him to bop home for the weekend to ride.

Please give us suggestions of event barns in driving distance. While he will be up to his eyeballs in work, he has always made time to ride and even muck for others, in order to get horse time.

Where do Don Sachey or Wofford do clinics? Other teachers of that school?

He IS doing some nifty work- creating a way to model entire eco-systems in extreme environments. His Master's thesis is on a closed- to- our- atmosphere/environment eco-system under a glacier in Antarctica. He is out there on the far reaches of science. Hopefully, he will be working with NASA on Mars or other planet discoveries.

While he wants to be an astronaut, he won't be able to take his horse, so I hope he changes his mind. (I admit I'm prejudiced- I like time with him)

His horse is a big 17.1+h full tb who is a total love. They would really enjoy some regular time together. The last 2 years, the masters was at Washington state u, and we could not find a good spot for his horse. He mucked for friends to get occasional rides and came home on breaks and the summer.

Whicker, that is so awesome! I'm so happy for "M," it just stinks that we can't keep him in the saddle more regularly! Not to mention I suspect big "T" is pining for some more rides. I need a time/space transporter, does "M" know anyone working on one of those? It would allow me to be here in Centreville and out there with you in seconds flat!
