Default Box for shipping cc saddle?

    Hi All,

I need to return a saddle and the box it was sent in was in terrible shape and is destroyed. Any suggestions on where I can buy a box that is great for shipping a close contact saddle?

    Thanks!

Walmart has sturdy shipping boxes and they aren't expensive.

Not UPS - I had to get one that was too big and cut it down, AND it cost $14!! I'd try Staples.

Home Depot, Walmart, USPS has some larger ones, and if you happen to hit the gocery store at the right time there are usually lots of boxes, canned goods and cereal box boxes are good sizes. If you get a roll of clear packing tape and completely cover the box in it it makes it darn near indestructible. Hard to open, too, LOL.

I've had very good luck shipping saddles via some of the private companies that ship via all methods. They boxed things up really well. I just took the saddle to them and they did the packing. I believe the last one I used was a Mailboxesetc or some such.

I took my saddle to Staples. They provided a box, packaging, and shipping for about $40. Worth it for me to avoid the hassle!!

I like the Home Depot moving boxes to ship saddles in. Sturdy, and come in a variety of big sizes. The staples here didn't carry the big boxes, you had to special order....

Thanks everyone! I got one from Walmart but then was able to find one at my work that was 2'' shorter and saved me $10!
