Looking for a place to board pg mare. Specifically looking for a place with experience with foaling and with other foals due this spring and summer. All health care up to date for mare. Experienced owner.
It would certainly help if you could zoom in a little on the geographical area--this is a fairly international group with people in all corners of the planet posting regularly.
But in terms of general advice, look to your local racetrack and see if there are some contacts there with breeding operations.
I'd still say go for racing stables with breeding operations. That's what I have done when I didn't have the time, space, or know-how to handle various stages of the breeding/foaling process. I am taking my big, chunky Irish mare to a barn full of Standardbreds this spring to get her (hopefully!) in foal. They have everything on site and I simply do not have the time to orchestrate vets, semen, equipment, drugs, and follicles on my own. This is what this farm is set up to do, so they are getting the job.
