Default Mike Matson! Moving on to "hoof taboo"-- do you have it?

The quoted section was the OP of this thread.

Now is has expanded to a new topic: Hoof Taboo. See post #4.

    "Dude.

I can't even open the "hooves and chainsaw" thread because the title alone skeeved me out. My mind went wild with the (bad) possibilities. And I'll click on just about anything because I carry a vial of brain bleach around with me. But I don't think it would work on that topic.

So I'm posting here to tell you that. It's as close to that thread as I can get.

ETA: If any of you brave readers did open that thread, can you tell me if it is safe for the likes of me?"

It's safe to look at. Seems like a stupid thing for a farrier to do with an unrestrained, unsedated horse IMHO, but the photo is fine.

If there is anything graphic, I always post a warning.

"Dude"?? Man, that is so retro '60s. But I can dig it baby! Peace out!

Thank you all for giving that thread a rating for me.

I have what my dissection partner called, "hoof taboo." Apparently, it's common. We skeevy horsemen types can see exposed muscle and bone, we don't care about lots of blood and even like puss. But a problem that involves hoof tissue? Hell to the No.

Oh, and I'm a native Californian so I'm also handicapped by thinking that "dude" is still a form of address, appropriate for either gender.

It would make sense to me that "dude" would be used to address anyone by someone who uses a chainsaw to trim? a horse. (I did not and will not look). But then dude always had bad implications to me, hence "dude" ranch, as complete or nearly complete boob, greenie, etc.
