What jumper stallion for my Sagittarius/Harmony II mare
I have a 16.2 Canadian Warmblood mare by Sagittarius (Sirius/Sunstar) out of Harmony II Mare (Bajazzo/Aphrodite), I have been told these are older, good jumper blood lines. She has shown successfully in the jumpers and can jump 4'6"+. She has great confirmation, just a bit long in the back. Quiet on the flat, has blood when jumping. She had a foal at 4yrs old, now she is 10 yrs old and I am breeding her (my first time). Any suggestions for a great jumping Stalllion, even temperment, shorter coupled, not impossible to get? Wouldn't mind fresh cooled. So many choices I don't know where to start.
Not really familiar with the bloodlines of your mare....
However try looking at Dreamscape Farms stallions if you want fresh. Getting the semen is easy...no boarder hassles as they are in BC.... and Jennifer is excellent at getting the semen out when needed, even if the mares don't read the correct text book<smile>
Banderas, Novalis and Bon Balou are all jumper bred.......Bon Balou and Novalis now have, I believe, Hanno approval. Novalis has shown to GP level when he was younger.
I had a Banderas colt in 2011 and I was pleased he gave the colt a better loin connection with a shorter back than my mare, and a better neck set
Super temperaments all three stallions.
I have been to the farm several times and they are happy friendly stallions.
