    I have always put a corner of a yellow sticky note on those webcams.
    I could foresee that someone, somewhere, could use them in reverse, if they were so inclined.
    Guess I was right after all.

    great, here's some malware that turns on the machine's microphone. don't people have anything better to do?! get 'em all mucking stalls at the local horse rescue, i say.

    Mac was long hailed as hacker safe, but those days are now over as well.
    Even though there are still fewer people dabbling in dead languages

    a friend in IT told me though the smartphones are at even greater risk of being hacked. Since so many people don't treat them with the same regard as their PC, but do virtually the same things on them, like banking and surfing, or ebay and personal email...
    NFC is a wide open portal for mischief.....
