Default Images found in antique camera: including French cavalry horses from WWI

They look lovely. What a shame they had to go to war: http://thephotopalace.blogspot.com.b...in-camera.html

I have one of those glass negatives of my grandmother when she was about 4 years old. Taken around 1867 or so.

"It took quite a few Armorall wipes to get the leather to gain a presentable look." This it be wrong I'm sure that leather deserves quite a bit more TLC if it is going to last another hundred years!

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I've been dorking out on WW1 lately, what a coincidence to find your post!

    Wow - love this stuff.

And this week, I read this.
    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/1865-ba...GFnZQ--;_ylv=3

Just moved back permanently from Portland ME. And a year and a half ago, my sister, niece and I took a week's trip up to Calais-St Stephen-New Brunswick-Baileyville (where great-grandparents lived and are buried) on a geneology search. We are all antiquers, too. And I'm born and raised in Cooperstown, with my first job at the HOF.
Drat! We should have been hitting the shops!!

These hidden gems are very cool.
