Default I know it is silly to be soo excited, but....

I jumped a cross rail last night on my OTTB since owning him since August. A little background, He is a 10 yr old TB and an ex- steeplechaser over timbers. He double bowed in his last race and my trainer picked him up in march. In march he had already been on stall rest for 3 months. She had him laid up for 5 and had vet check and vey said he was healing famously and that he would be able to do anything but recommends he stay under his athleticism (3'6"). My trainer was hoping to make him a high level jumper and sonce i have no desire(guts) to do any bigger than that and i had already bonded with him, she thought hw would be perfect. AND HE IS!! I absolutely love my grumpy rotten TB with my all and we have been slowly working up to this moment and we now have a goal to do the baby jumpers at the TB show in June. I am Soooooo excited. SUPER SHORT VIDEO ON POST 10!!!

There's nothing silly about being excited when you've accomplished something wonderful.

I jumped my little mare for the first time in YEARS this summer.... a teeny crossrail ... with a big smile on my face. It's FUN!

Adding a ground rail gives depth to any jump, helps some horses not overjump.

Wonderful that you are so in love with your horse, makes life great.

Congrats! I (ok, we all) know that feeling: I just jumped mine over our first x in a year & half (injuries) on Sunday and got our first lead changes ever last night! Great timing!

Thank you Bluey. I will definately do that. It was just so small and the girl that rides him for me when i cant just has a blast jumping him. Ill be having my Gall bladder removed at the end of the month and no riding for 2 weeks so I will definately be helping from the ground over fences. Thank you all very much I do love him and cant wait to see some of you COTHers at the shows.
