Default Stallions in Memoriam - the big list

I finally had time to work on my list of stallions lost in 2012. In general, it seemed to be a kinder year for the boys - there weren't nearly as many losses as there had been in the previous years.

And, in the process of pulling together the 2012 list, I also compiled all my lists from previous years into a single spreadsheet. It's a bit sobering to look at the names on those lists.

Falsterbo & Fred Astair in 2012. Do you want me to look up the data for you?

Thanks, I had heard asbout Falsterbo, but don't know how I missed adding him to the list. I didn't know about Fred Astair, though. I will post a revised PDF shortly.

Ok, I'll add my mares sire:

    Roskof

    Selle Francais

    Sire: Matador Du Bois

    Dam: Elle Trotte

    1983 - 2009

Thank you for the list, when you look at it, it is overwhelming as to how many boys have passed.

Thanks, DY, for compiling these lists. Sobering, yes, but also helpful for breeders and as a historical document for the industry.

    Thank you for keeping track

Just noticed that poor Rainbow seems to have died twice, once in 2010, and again in 2011.

PS - what happened to Chacco Blue? I loved that horse!
