    I looked up the actual news story, and the horse and driver veered to the edge to avoid a parked car, only to slip over. That seems like an unlikely scenario, but if the carriage slid over, it might have pulled the horse with it... And I think the vehicle is a mountain hack, not a buggy, but I can't confirm that. Neither participant was injured. It sounds as though they could have self-rescued, as the horse was just walked down to a place where he could exit the canal on an accessible path, and the canal was not particularly deep. Still, who wants to go for a dip in January?

    WORLD FIREFIGHTER GAMES 2014!!! LOS ANGELES - HERE WE COME!
    The team are already working furiously on the next Games in LA. We’ve secured get accommodation deals that we will be sharing with you in the New Year.

    The home of the Games in 20145 will be the LA Convention Centre in downtown LA. It’s a great central venue close to the Staple Centre and LA Live complex with many bars and

    restaurants close by.
    In January, the WFG team will meet with local sporting organisations and the LA Fire Department, who have been fantastic in showing their support for the Games in LA in

    2014. They will make terrific host for the Games.
