Name ideas & TB Line Pedigree history info needed
So I'm going to try to do a poll for the name ideas. We are also looking for information on this guy's influences to help guide him towards his sport.
Coming 2 yr old gelding we acquired last year through Second Chance Ranch, a TB rescue. He was left to them to find a sport home (non-racing) when the owner/breeder passed away. All of our horses have potatoe barn names - his is Chip (but she doesn't want that incorporated in his registered name).
He is a total love bug (now) - originally he hadn't had a lot of handling, but with consistent patient handling by my daughter he has become quite the guy.
We do think he's going to be tall ... he measures at a 15.2 now. Cassie is very involved in pony club and loves all sorts of horse sports. She is willing to go in any direction with him; his talents will guide her to her competition arena. Could be dressage, jumpers, hunters, or eventing. She does love eventing and dressage specifically.
He came to us unnamed and we are coming up on our deadline to name him and expect his JC name will also be used for USEF lifetime registration so the name will have dual purpose.
Since we decided to geld him, keeping his bloodlines in the name isn't quite as important as it would have been if he were going to be breeding stock.
He is bay with a white star and one white sock. I will try to link up some photos and maybe a video from when she showed him in hand last year (his first time in an arena, so the video I have is fun to watch him loose). He has matured ALOT since then; it is interesting to see because he really looks like a HORSE compared to our draft X babies in the passed who took so much longer to mature. Still, all of her work with him is in hand.

That's a wide range of names...no commonality. Is there a reason behind name choices? What are his bloodlines?

So sorry ... Heres the pedigree ... Although both sire and dam have flying in their name, they are from two different lines.

I would name him Concorde, after the supersonic transatlantic plane.
And, sorry, pet peeve: unnamed horses should not be entered into PQ. Especially since you can use this link to show us his pedigree:

Both great suggestions! Unfortunately, I just looked and those are already taken in JC. :-(
