bummer Sounds like he was lucky. I have had a couple with sesamoid fractures that when on to event. Not sure how that injury compares. All I can say is lots and lots of hay, and less grain. Best wishes for a full recovery!
Sending jingles for quick and uneventful healing.
Don't borrow more trouble, maybe he will be great to bring back. He is older and more mature?, than last time.
Speaking from experience, Sport has come back to work easier each time he has returned from stall rest.
Thanks guys. He unfortunately wasn't that much younger during his previous time off, however I am looking into doing an aquapacer rehab once he is healed. Talked to the rehab facility that does it to make sure I could afford it. Now gotta talk to my vet and see what he thinks about it.
I know I don't have to necessarily write off full turnout however it is difficult to find large individual turnouts around here at a show barn, from what i have seen. However a barn I am looking into has a treadmill which might be helpful. We'll see. I was suppose to be doing a trial lesson with them, however since my horse broke that's on hold.
