This was posted by Silvercreek under a sales post for Apiro on their FB:
"Thanks! I know, but we have downsized the breeding significantly so that we can focus on the stallion test and the database/software program as well as the young horses we have up and coming. Apiro has such busy breeding seasons especially when available via fresh semen, that it makes it difficult to do."
Everything here is fine! No worries. For those of you who haven't read on my FB, I recently added "Cancer" to my life resume, so have had surgery and will be doing a round of treatment in October. Prognosis is good, but has us evaluating things here at the farm. We are not having a fire sale or shutting down the farm, we've just been soooooo busy this spring and with the new circumstances, we have made some of the horses available. Big things are in the works, and we are also prioritizing our time towards these goals. Straight from the horses mouth...pun intended.
Even though I wasn't able to breed to Silver Lining before he passed, I will never forget the time you guys spent with me, telling me *everything* I could have possibly ever wanted to know about him, his quirks, and his personality. The love and pride you guys have for your boys shone through like a beacon.
I'm sorry to hear you haven't been well, and I wish you nothing but the best. I too was worried when I saw the postings, and am glad to hear everything with the farm is ok. :-)
The ninja monkeys are plotting my demise as we speak....
I didn't know of your trouble, since I am not on "face book".
I will be thinking of you and wish you and your family all the best luck! Hang in there, and please check in here on the forum when you are able, for those of us "non face bookers" who will be worrying!
I have enjoyed keeping up with your Stallion testings (when possible) on the internet and I have to say ; well done you, for undertaking such a huge and important endeavor!!
