Default Let's see your winter woolies!

This is my favorite time of year with the warm sun and the cold, and the horses look so cute this time of year!

I'd love to see everyone's fuzzy friends!

My mare wonders about all this fuss about birth control when she's only seen a handful of testicles in her entire life. Living with an intact male of my species, I feel differently! WAYSIDE

I just love it when they have icicles on their whiskers!

Everyone around here is so nice and dark in the winter. The red bays especially look sharp. I was just looking at pix from this summer where my currently seal brown mare appears to be brindle

My horse is a pro at growing fur. He doesn't seem to understand the midwest isn't quite as cold as his native land.

And not my fuzzy horse, but my school's. He is too cute not to share. He is nearly as fuzzy as the Friesian! https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...74699127_n.jpg

Odie is a furry beast, the BO snapped this picture right before he went from cute and fluffy to nasty and matted .

Rory didn't get much of a coat this year, but one of DH's mares looks positively prehistoric! I'll try to get a picture this week...

Odie may or may not end up missing as soon as I put my COTH sleuthing skills to work. I literally squealed at his overwhelming cuteness.

This isn't the greatest picture but she is wooly (at least on her head and neck.)

I'm also jealous that so many of you have lovely bare ground! I miss seeing the ground! It's snowing again here today

Mr. OTI came in to see what I was doing and said, "What a beautiful picture." And then proceeded to explain the whys and wherefores of light balance, focal point and technical composition, heaping praise on how difficult this shot was to capture and what a great job the photographer did. I just sat there like this , since Mr. OTI rarely feels the need to comment, nevermind praise, what I'm perusing on CoTH. So I figured I'd let you know. Nice pic!

Haha, thanks but I wasn't the talented photographer. Just own the photogenic model in the picture!

Kips Bay, with a barn cat taking advantage of his Supreme Furry-ness

Kip and Brio. You can't really tell from here, but in the winter Brio's face gets so shaggy along her jaw, it's like this shapeless, furry rectangle.

Frosted eyelashes This was a *very* cold day.

Between the donkey and the chestnut with the cat, I would have to flip a coin for cuteness. Add the cat to the donkey and it would be absolutely unbeatable!

I am just dying over the wooly minis!

Cato isn't mine but he's at the barn where I board. He is a 31 YO Morgan gelding.

Feronia doesn't get wooly enough to get a photo on this thread. Rare for a Morgan, I think...

Ok, Odie, the cat, the minis & the old guy Morgan...I can't stand it.

Do those minis even have ears in there?
