    Default how do i register/ inspect a long yearling?

    I'm in the process of purchasing a coming 2 yo by Gatsby out of a tb mare. The mare is approved. Can I bring her to an inspection in the spring if I can get all her paperwork together.....

    It depends on the registry. Your best bet is to contact the registry where the dam is approved and ask them what to do.

    Thank you. I guess what I was wondering is of took late to get her inspected since she is almost 2... JB she is a 2011 bay filly. A woman in va bred her out of a tb mare. She just never got around to getting her inspected

    We successfully had young horses of all ages inspected, approved & branded by RPSI (including 3 Gatsby babies!). The breeding farm is located in an area devoid of all inspections, so we waited until we had enough of our own horses to meet the host site requirements. Weanlings & yearlings received numerical scores broken down. Anything older (2+) just passed or failed with an overall score (in our case, none failed!). At 3+ they can receive mare scores.

    Twodreamrides if I had a million dollars I would probably take you up on that! JB hopefully if all goes well tomorrow and she's as good as she sounds and gets on the trailer she will be coming home with me! I'll post a picture if I get her. Keep your fingers crossed!

    I love her! I see a lot of resemblance to mine, who is only a little older than yours - coming on 22 months. Congrats!
