If you board and you see blankets in trouble--like leg straps hanging or whatever--do you fix them or leave them for the barn staff?
A good horseman doesn't have to tell anyone...the horse already knows.
Might be a reason, never an excuse...
I fix them?
Takes like 1 minute...less time than it would take me to go tell someone...
In my opinion, a horse is the animal to have. 1300 pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs - it's something you just can't get from a pet hamster.
I fix them...unless the horse could be dangerous.
I have also been known to give unsolicited advice about too long leg straps to people.
I will always fix them
I'm having an issue because the BO doesn't seem to notice at all. So I've left them and then emailed hoping she'll clue in. No dice.
Of course, I emailed today also about the fence down, my stuff missing and other items so maybe it's just how it works here.
I was afraid to fix because I wanted her to SEE it but she seems to see it and not care. So I guess I'll fix.
Depends on how well I know the horse and/or owner, and how much trouble I think the horse might be in. But most of the time I'll fix them myself.
