La Mundial Boots
So, here's a bit of a story about La Mundial - I can't really decide if it is good or bad.
I went on here a few months ago (in October) looking for good custom boots I could buy and any suggestions. I spent hours debating and finding my perfect pair - which ended up being La Mundial. I contacted a representative and set up an appointment.
In mid-October I went to the barn of the representative (the one in Connecticut) to be fitted. As of today, they should have arrived within two weeks. These would have been my first custom anything and I was beyond excited.
Today we called the company to get an order number (because we never received one) and see if the boots were set to arrive on time. We were aware of the lack of communication and assumed that the production was going on without our notice. The woman who answered the phone at La Mundial took down our name and said that he found us... then realized that this person simply had the same name and was not the same person. She told us that our representative quit and that he never sent in his paperwork. I'm quite disillusioned because this man took such great care to see that the boots fit perfectly - he took many measurements and explained everything to me; even the little extra things he did to make sure the boot would fit.
Unfortunately, they have no record of the boots, or the payment that we made for them. They said they would honor what I ordered, and if worse comes to worse they would send someone out to remeasure - which most likely means another three months of waiting (or more considering the time that it would take to get measured again - or have the paperwork sent in). We called the representative (who the company says that they could not contact) and he claimed he would be able to talk tomorrow, and is basically at the other end of the country.
The moral of the story: if you ordered boots, and don't have an order number or anything for them - my suggestion is that you call. I would have been stuck waiting for boots that would have never come.
Right now, I don't have an ending for this story - and I really can't see who is at fault - who knows if the truth was being told?

I'm sorry for what happened. On the bright side, they make beautiful boots. I have their field boots as well as paddocks and half chaps and they are very high quality and a bargain at the price. I have had Der Daus most recently and although very nice, the La Mundials are nicer and a much better price.

Thanks! Hopefully I'll eventually get them - I'm just slightly more impatient! I'm glad to hear you really loved yours.

Heh, now I'm nervous. I ordered mine at M&S Finals back in September. Still haven't gotten them. Should have been here around December 15th. I have been in contact with The Tack Shelter, who I ordered them through. Their rep told me that she would call me when she got confirmation that the boots have shipped and are on their way.
I think I'll be calling the company tomorrow directly. I want these things before I go back to school...
And preafternoon, the La Mundial customer service specialist does have an account on these boards and I know she frequently (or used to) posts.

The woman we called was really helpful! She promised to get back to us - although we still haven't heard anything. My goal now is just to get them before I go off to college... I assume if I set the bar really low, I'll be even happier if I get them when they should actual arrive.

My impression is that the boots are good quality, the price is great, so what gives in the equation is schedule. My boots took oner the 4 months, more like 19 weeks.

I spoke to one of their customer service reps yesterday, but we ended up just calling the guy who measured my boots who said he would send the papers to the company.
I have to admit, the people at La Mundial were quite helpful - although it did take a couple of days to finally have someone answer the phone. My advice would be to keep calling! The first few days all we got was a busy signal.

OP and Credo, La Mundial just changed facilities completely so they have been really busy with getting that going. I would keep trying
As an aside, I LOVE my La Mundials and wish I had replaced my Vogels earlier!

Did you call the number on the order receipt? I called once and it was busy. I ordered mine at the PA National Horse Show in mid October so they should be coming anytime now, but I want to call them and check. So did you call the number on your receipt? Thanks!

I was measured by the CT rep, but unfortunately he was the one who left the company and I think the website just has not been updated.

I don't think we ever got the receipt... which is something that we should have noticed and called earlier, but hopefully it's settled now.

I just sent Genevieve Abraham, who is the customer service rep that posts on here an email. Hopefully she will get back to me soon! If not...Monday I am calling the company!

Can I please get the number for Genevieve Abraham? My trainer as well as another trainer in the area ordered boots back in the second week of September, but haven't received them yet. They are getting ready to leave for Thermal, and need to know if they have boots or not.

I'm glad I saw this thread. I was debating heading up to CT this weekend to get fitted. Hmmm...

Hmm, sorry you all had rotten luck. I ordered mine at EA last April. They arrived 2 weeks ahead of schedule and I LOVE them. Beautiful, soft, excellent quality! Good Luck!

I was planning to get measured at the end of this month... I'm a little nervous now. I have contacted customer service with a few questions/concerns, they seemed quite helpful. They even got back to me quickly.
The rep I had contacted to get measured by- however, is taking forever to reply...

Bumping to ask if any of those waiting have received boots recently --
I've been debating getting new boots, so I stopped at the La Mundial booth at the MD expo ~ 10 days ago -- I asked how long it takes to get the boots, and perhaps I misheard, but I believe the rep said 6 weeks --

dab, I would expect about 10-12 weeks - that's what I was quoted when I got mine and they came right on schedule.
