Default Suggestions for loose fitting insect sheet

I know it isn't the season for insects for most of us, but I am planning ahead. Last summer my mare got a case of rainrot on her back under her insect sheet. Her Bucas Buzz-Off has a belly section that acts as a girth and holds the blanket flat against her back. I need to find something that allows some airflow between the blanket and her skin.

    Suggestions?

I haven't looked lately to see if they still make them, but the Rambo Fly Buster that i used to get is quite stiff material and likes to tent off the back.

The baby blue Amigo has a very long drape and hangs well off my gelding's belly.

This is my absolute favorite fly sheet. It is very light weight (which is really nice for our super humid summers). My horse has very sensitive skin that can get gross or hivey very easily, and he does well in this one.

Schnieders has great fly sheets. The sides are extra long and the fit is adjustable. They are very well made and durable. The material 'tents' as you were looking for, does not cling.

Yes, Schneiders are also stiff and tent well, as do Riders, if they're still around.

I have this one from Cashel:
    http://www.cashelcompany.com/Product...roductID=10631

It's very lightweight, not clingy, has a wide belly strap. The fabric is similar to a Cashel Crusader fly mask.

It fits great from the withers back. But ... the neck opening is just too big. I had the laundry service put in darts. Better than the suspender thing we rigged.

Thanks everyone for all the tips! I love weatherbeeta blankets and they fit my horses well. I have never heard of Schneider.

Looking very much forward to warmer weather...
