5yo Mustang gelding needs someone who can get him to his full potential.
He has 8 months of professional training. When he came he was solid in walk and trot.
He has been ridden on trails on a regular bases for one year up till October 2012. He goes on trails on his own, not spooky.
He still is a bit leery of people he doesn't know but stands for the farrier, etc.
I think he could make a solid trail horse if someone has the time to put into him to get him to be balanced in all his gaits, especially cantering.
A skilled rider could help him along (which I am not).
But he does need some more time and patience. He is 15 h. He was gathered in 2008 and is from Nevada. I have all his papers. Up to date with shots. He is healthy and an easy keeper. He is now out of shape and could lose some weight.
I would be willing to help with shipping costs or hay if needed.
Located Crozet, VA.
Please e-mail or pm me with any questions.
I couldn't get the picture attached to your post to open. I sent you an email also, could you send me some pictures to my email? Does he have a current coggins? Is he barefoot? Any behavoir issues other than the usual trust until he gets to know you? How does he do with other horses? I have an old mare and gelding he would be pastured with. We do trail riding at Lake Anna State Park in VA and Pilot Mountain State Park in NC so he would be ridden almost every weekend by me. Any other information you can give me on him would be appreciated. I am very interested in him.
