Default Congenital cataracts or lens opacities in foals ?

Any one on here have any experiance with this?
I understand that their are different levels of severity and that it can be mild and no problem for the foal and it ability to see.
Any breeder had foal with this and how did it turn out?
Any one bought a foal/young horse with this finding from a vet health assessment exam?
What are your thoughts and concerns?
It appears in some horses to have a genetic component but not always. Would this history be a reason that you wouldnt breed say a mare that had this as a foal and has suffered no ill effects vision is normal?
    Thank you for your responses..

I turned down the opportunity to buy a very well bred young mare because of cataracts in both eyes. From my research, the congenital component of bi-lateral cataracts seemed pretty conclusive (i was looking at a broodmare prospect).

If it had been one eye, I probably would have gone ahead.
