Would quarter marks look ridiculous on a mostly white paint? He's white all over except a small circle around his tail and down one hind...

    Thanks deltawave!

I'd love to see examples of the sharks teeth quartermarks everyone is talking about.

I'd rather see time/effort put into basic grooming first (e.g., if your horse isn't already glossy, don't spend the time on quartermarks), but they can be a gorgeous final touch. I start by heavily fly-spraying the coat, then brushing it all in one direction. Then I take a short stiff brush and make a V on their hips, and then alternating diagonal sweeps on their haunches, so you get the sharks teeth pattern below. Finish with a vertical brush down the back to give a clean line.

Anyone care to post pictures of your quarter marks?

Here is the image of my logo that I turned into a quarter mark for my own horse...

Here is the quarter mark on HRH at AEC's this year. I need to make a larger stencil so it will be more visible. This was the first one I did and was kind of a prototype so not perfect...

I also made one of a friend's logo that I posted in an earlier comment but here it is again...

And here is the red horse sporting some stripes before I started making custom markers...

And lastly, here is a new custom one I just finished for another friend of her logo. I don't have any pics of it on a horse yet but here is the stencil...

Sorry for all the links! If you're interested in a custom quarter mark, send me a PM!
