I seem to be on a roll getting free dirt and rocks lately, so it seems time to rough out where I want my bank jump to go.
I'm sure I'll end up revetting some small areas for stand alone intro drops, but I've got an area on a bit of a hill which seems to be begging for a penninsula shaped bank. If you have one, or have a favorite you play on periodically, I would love to hear dimensions (and see pictures if you have them!)
Oh - Brian and Lisa Sabo had a wonderful bank complex at their old farm in Paso Robles. You might contact him for dimensions.
Basically it looked like a Y.
Starting at the base of the Y the it was narrow enough for a horse to jump, then became wider as it approached the intersection so the horse could "bank" the bank
The top of the Y sloped down so one could trot up the slope and drop off the bank or jump up on the bank and trot down the slope
One could trot up the slope and jump left off the bank over a small upright or jump right off the bank over a ditch. Could also jump up over the ditch.
Thanks to the slope one could drop down or jump up at varing heights.
Hope this makes sense to you.
