Default Harwich Padded Fancy Stitch Bridle by SmartPak? COLOR TROUBLE.

I really like this bridle! I'm think i'm going to buy it for a show bridle. My only problem is that all of my tack is havana and the ad confuses me as to what color the bridle is (it lists brown & hazelnut?). I was wondering if anyone had this bridle and could tell me exactly what color it is? Or if someone could figure out the ad out Thank you!

It's a fairly light reddish brown, pretty much exactly the color shown, but it takes oil really well and will darken to whatever color you want it. Just add *light* coats of oil until you get the shade you want

What kind/brand of oil do you think would work best?

You can use whatever. I usually use olive oil, but anything would work. Once the tack is broken in, you can use a leather conditioner (lederbalsam) to keep it conditioned without darkening it anymore

It's brown, mine is very dark. I did oil mine with Hydrophane, but not the darkening one. I also periodically condition w/ Passier lederbasalm. I like the bridle, the leather is very nice, even though it's thirsty

I believe I only had it a few months when this photo was taken.

The description says "hazelnut with dark brown padding".
So the bridle is hazelnut and the padding (noseband and crown) is dark brown.

Put some oil on it and the hazelnut will easily get darker.

I have this bridle - used the hydropane darkening oil - it darkens VERY quickly. It's about a Havanna if not darker brown. I used multiple coats of darkening oil on it though.
