    Default Shiloh is gone

My beloved boy Shiloh died Friday 12/28 at about 2 pm. He had a heart attack or an aneurysm during a shoeing appt. It was very violent and traumatic but at least I was there for him and I hope that he knew that. I loved him very much and will miss him terribly.

He was the first "real" horse I ever had. I have so many memories of him - he was a drama king for sure, was dreadfully vain, hated to be made fun of but had a great sense of humour when it came to playing a trick on you. He loved to show off but hated the fussing that came before. He had a great fondness for the ladies, especially if they were Arabian mares. He was a class act all the way - I never met a more honest and patient horse. He put up with my crap all these years and in return he was the most spoiled boy in the world.

I will miss his great big oversized head and his big oversized heart. I will miss coming out to see a white horse on one side and a coal black one on the other.
I will miss him sticking his butt in my face to be scratched - oh, he loved to be endlessly scratched until my hands hurt. I will miss chasing him around the arena while he pretended to be Wild Arabian stallion - tail up in the air, pronking about on stiff legs and performing high speed passage. So many memories.

Everyone who met him loved him and he was treated like a king by every stable I boarded at.

RIP my sweet wonderful silly patient big hearted kind boy. I will see you again.

I'm so sorry. It's obvious that you loved him very much. He was a lucky boy and you were lucky to have had him, too.

How horrific for everyone there..Iam so sorry. But maybe you being there in his final moments to help him pass over the bridge despite it being so traumatic for you helped him. Huge condolences to you. Words can never truly express the sorrow people feel in situations as this..
