Johnny Depp (yawn, boring, not surprising...)

Scarlett Johansson (at least before she started trying to 'glamorize' herself and dye her hair colors that don't suit her).

Chef Robert Irvine -big guy who cooks. All he needs is a kilt! Back in the day I was in love with Marcel Desaulniers and his show "Death by Chocolate". A big guy who cooks and makes chocolate.

He is total garbage! Quick! Hide him on my trailer (Petstorejunkie).

Guys, seriously! Tanner Faust, Johnny Depp, Mike Rowe, Benedict Cumberbatch, etc. are all very NORMAL crushes!
You want weird? Here's mine: James May. I wouldn't even mind the motorcycle part in the bathroom . . . or the fact that the only thing he keeps in his Ferrari is a little brush to get the dust out of the vents.

It's really intriguing as a guy to hear of some of the fascinations of women for guys. Particularly those guys who don't fill what I think of as the Hollywood fantasy interchangeable 'pretty boy' roles.
I read that nearly a hundred years ago, Rudolph Valentino was the heart throb of the day, but that men of the day despised him because they had no respect for him. A few years later, Clark Gable became the fantasy male, but because men respected Gable, his way of being and his competence as an actor, men were pretty much good with that.
Pierce Brosnan a few years ago filled that same slot as Gable.

Things that make guys attractive to me:
Competence
Strength
Manliness
Intelligence
Sense of humor
I bet women would be surprised about what men find attractive too. I'm thinking Hollywood got that wrong too.

Did you ever see the one that they showed of both brothers without facial hair? Both are seriously good looking. I'm guessing they grew the facial hair for the show

Attraction is all behind the eyes.
One surprise I have encountered is that contrary to the stereotype, apparently many women not only do not find a man's tears to be off-putting, but actually find a man who can cry under appropriate sad circumstances, to be more appealing than the ones who can't.

Eh...maybe no maybe so. If your dog died yes, if the movie is sad no. It really is about context.
