    Default Breech washing?

All of my breeches are pilling. I got new ones, and don't want them to pill. Can I dry clean them so they don't pill. How can I make them not pill?

I don't know that it's so much the washing as it is the wearing, but I would guess that dry cleaning would exert less friction on the garment and perhaps induce less pilling than throwing them in a washing machine does.

I think fabric softener can cause pilling in certain fabrics. I know it can with fleece. Do you use fabric softener?

The dry cleaners are really not good if you have real leather patches on your breeches. Try turning them inside out, cold water and use liquid detergent only. Air dry only.

What other items are you washing them with? And/or drying them with. My husband can put pills on anything because he has to throw some dumb wool sock or terry cloth towel in and destroy the whole load.

I love my Horze Grand Prix breeches, I can wash and dry with no difference in how I normally do it and no pilling! I just wash them inside out but to be honest, most of my clothes end up that way lol.
