ok, DH is having a fever, but due to his medication he does not want to take Tylenol....can't have Ibuprofene or Aspirin.

I hate the Manflu. Can he take a cool shower/bath? Also, if you're into that sort of thing, I like Theives oil mixed with coconut oil and rubbed on the bottom of my feet for cold/flu crud. Works like a charm! Smells funny though.

Sick men are the worst... My husband gets a cold and you'd think he was dying. It's utterly sad. So sorry you are dealing with manflu!

You poor thing! The only thing worse than a Mancold is a Manflu.

My DH has been battling stomach ailments since June and there are days where I want to buy him a one-way ticket to Milwaukee and let his mother deal with him. Mostly when he started self-diagnosing himself via Google and called me at work about every 30 minutes with something else he thought he had.

If he's feeling feverish, ice cold club soda (get the good stuff) with a twist of lemon or lime peel.

If he's having chills, weak hot tea with the same twist of lemon of lime peel. Low Sodium beef or chicken broth (Wyler's) and soda crackers also helps if his stomach's not upset.

I must have the only man that doesn't know about manflu. He never stops-never rests, never complains, goes to work, does chores, no soup thanks, no vitamins, no medicine other than advil, no nuthin'.

It's a tough act to follow when I get the same dang virus.

My man drinks at least two beers nearly every night. Coincidence?? He was recently very sick-he upgraded to whiskey coffee and was cured in 48 hours.

Ginger tea. I gave it to my Dad during his Manflu about a month ago and he is now addicted to ginger tea with honey, thinks he invented it and recommends it to everyone as a cold remedy! Even though I had to force him to drink it the first time.

Anyways its a natural anti inflammatory and the honey is good for a sore throat.
It helps settle a stomach as well, and I believe its supposed to be good for the immune system. Just chop up some fresh ginger and steep in hot water for 5 minutes, and add honey before serving.
