What a great approach. Too bad he didn't quote the Bible back at them. The part in the Bible where it says it is an abomination for man to lie with man is in between the part where it says it is an abomination to plant two different seeds in one hole and wear two different types of fabric--the hypocritical morons were too stupid to know that.
Also not a big fan of Russell Brand, but that was funny. And he hit on the main point that always gets me - you really believe in a god that sent Gandhi to hell? Really, how much sense does that make. Just stop and *REALLY* think about it - Gandhi is rotting in hell - seriously?
Here's a question I've always wanted to ask of the Westboro swine and others who claim the Bible is, from beginning to end, the literal word of God:
That quote from Leviticus they're so fond of spouting, "Man shall not lie with another man. . .blahblahblah", well, what about lesbians? Nowhere in the Bible is a like pronouncement - "Woman shall not lie with another woman. . ."
After all, if the Bible is indeed literal word for word, then lesbians ought to be in the clear as far as God's concerned. Either that or someone forgot to cover all of the pronouns, gender-wise.
I don't understand why they use that quote either. It's no secret that when Leviticus was it written, it was written to be a "rule book" so to speak for priests, that's where you find the rules like no eating shellfish or not wearing clothes made of two fabrics. It wasn't meant to be a rule book for the general population. Unfortunately, some groups forget that little fact or choose to ignore it to further their own agendas.
