    Default My dashing little guy...

He's not a huge fan of his sheets/blankets but I think he's cute.

LOL! He still has that one. It's just a little heavy for today.

Awww! My mini is gross. I mean gross. He came with a nasty coat that I attributed to neglect, but no, it's him. It was, and is again, matted, with grass, dried manure, hay, those little bits of roots, etc, all embedded down in there. When I body clipped him this year, I wasn't even able to get all the nastiness out of his coat, but at least he looked decent.

I'm contemplating keeping his butt clipped/partially clipped and blanketing, he isn't blanketed now and is fat and happy, but just looks all ghetto. And that matting can't be healthy?? And he'd be so cute blanketed!!!

In my very limited donkey experience, donkeys like to be dirty. Gus is constantly rolling in bare spots in the pasture. But he's usually just kind of dusty, not nasty, thank god. LOL!

Gus is a spooky little creature. I was shocked when he let me throw that big pink blanket over him the first time. Of course, I locked him in Natchez's stall so he couldn't get away. Once he learns something, he never forgets so now blanketing isn't a big deal. Clippers, though???? Ahh, he might either kill me or climb out the stall door.

I think your little donk is cute. A bit mussed up, but very cute!

Oh yeah, I've had dirty little donks before...he is just. Nasty. There's no other word for it! Mats are just unreal. When he's bodyclipped, up to about this length, he is ok.
