Thank you all so much for your kind words. Part of me aches so much for him, and the other part of me is so thankful that he was my horse for 20 years and no one else's. He was a large part of our family and my parents are devastated as well. As my dad said, I took care of his every need from beginning to the very end, and was there for everything. This horse always did everything I ever asked of him and never complained.
Your support has really helped. I pictures some pretty special horses galloping through pastures, pain free, over the bridge this evening, He used to have to taste every pile of hay in the field before he decided on one...my mom said she hopes there are lots of piles of hay over the bridge for him to choose from or he will drive the other horses crazy.
