Thank you all so much for your kind words. Part of me aches so much for him, and the other part of me is so thankful that he was my horse for 20 years and no one else's. He was a large part of our family and my parents are devastated as well. As my dad said, I took care of his every need from beginning to the very end, and was there for everything. This horse always did everything I ever asked of him and never complained.

Your support has really helped. I pictures some pretty special horses galloping through pastures, pain free, over the bridge this evening, He used to have to taste every pile of hay in the field before he decided on mom said she hopes there are lots of piles of hay over the bridge for him to choose from or he will drive the other horses crazy.

So sorry for your loss. As happy as he is, and as successful as the move was, seeing my guy on pasture board makes one wonder "what if?" down the road.

But if he was truly happy until that unfortunate moment, what more could you have done for him? Sounds like he had the best world possible along with the best owner. Sending hugs.
But he thought, "This procession has got to go on." So he walked more proudly than ever, as his noblemen held high the train that wasn't there at all. H.C.Anderson
