Default Where do you buy your contacts?

I have my prescription, but have never bought them anywhere but from the optician's office. What are my options?

I sometimes get stuff from 1-800-contacts if they are cheaper and faster than my local Lenscrafters. Usually they are.

They are less than half what I pay the optometrist which is half what I paid at an optical place. From ordering them to arriving in my mailbox - 3 days. Used to be two weeks at the optometrist or optical place.

Vision direct had the cheapest price for mine. I wear dailies and it was $201.00 for a 12 month supply!

Costco has very good pricing and they usually have a special that they run in their ad circular that gives you another $40 off when you order several boxes.

My eyes are so bad that no optometrist or store carries them without ordering them.

I get mine from 1-800-Contacts. They were the cheapest I found at the time and were WONDERFUL to work with. I needed mine last minute for a trip, so I was speaking with one of their representatives to make sure my prescription and everything was moving through quickly. They were great! Even called me to get ahead of a problem.

Oh, and they send you a reminder e-mail when your prescription is about to run out so you stock up on more and save a trip to the doctor.

my eye doctor prices matches, so I get them through him, and he gives me a cut rate on my eye exams too.

Walmart is the cheapest place that I have found. I usually get mine on Black Friday, they have a big sale... I just order them ahead of time and give them my cc # over the phone so I don't have to fight the crazy crowds!

Local optician price matches. And I like to keep it local.
