I smell something all right. Smells like the TB/dead cows on the highway story, the wet cat sweater in a dumpster story and many others. Smells altogether just like another coth make believe story to me.

So, it turns out I'm not drunk.

The trooper was kind and didn't laugh directly in my face, he did inspect the problem himself, then had a good chuckle. He suggested putting Vaseline on it over night, to soften, then work the mask (and I get why they call them masks now) off with warm water in the morning. DH is at home, laughing hysterically. Big help he was.

I took my wine back, too. And I'm drinking the whole bottle when I get home.

I certainly can see why you say that -- has all the traditional hallmarks -- but I suspect this one is authentic.

One way or the other, that was highly entertaining. If it's for real, I certainly hope your skin comes through undamaged! I'll go join the dog on the couch now and raise a glass of wine to your adventures.

SM is for real! Though that was a downward trend in the story...

Water=erosion and that's what you need right now. That and the wine...

What? 90 replies and no one's suggested WD-40?

We have a lot of authors that make this stuff up, right here on COTH. Yes I am cynical on this but I find it a wee bit hard to find the truth in this tall tale.

I have rolled my eyes at many a minion story, actually. You are not alone.

Home and properly lubed up for the night.

I will happily post pictures of progress in the morning. How does one go about obtaining a police report?! That would be awesome as a keepsake ;-).

If I'd made this up, I'd still be able to blink, the trooper would have been A LOT better looking, he would not have seen me in my jammies, and I would have this crap off my face already.

I thought you were kidding!! They actually called the cops on you? Priceless. We need more pictures! We need to see hour by hour pictures.

I see a movie in this. One of those all nighter things where it just gets worse and worse before you finally get home.
