Question Howrse?? Anyone doing/done this game?

I'm checking the weather forecast and thanks to cookies (?) an ad for an online game called Howrse pops up. Reads that one can "play" farm manager/BO/horse something-or-another...I don't have time but thought my 12 year old might find it interesting.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it a complete waste of time? Just entertainment? Valuable skills to learn?

TIA for any thoughts on this.

I played for quite sometime when I was studying abroad in college in 2009 as a time occupier. It's a fun game. You can increase the quality of your horses by selective breeding, enter them into competitions, and do daily barn care things as well. I would say that a 12 yr old would probably enjoy it.

DH played religiously for about a year. He had a whole virtual herd going. It got a bit boring after a while, he said, but he had a lot of fun with it for several months.
