They Really Do! O Canadians!
Having spent several Thanksgiving Days on COTH reading about meesen, and bagged milk, and especially about Canadian COTHers riding their horses up to the ride-in window at Tim Horton's, I am thrilled this Christmas to see, on a friend's friend's FB friend's wall, an actual photo, in living color, of a ride-in window at a Tim Horton's and a group of customers on horseback!
Of course I never doubted the stories I read on COTH, but just to see a photo of it is so cool. I bet anything that some of the people in the photo are COTHers. And that their horses are going to get some of the Timbits.

Really want to do this with my gelding, since he is very curious (likes to stick his head inside my car window when we are at shows) and loves Tim's honey crullers. I have the feeling I'd have to drag his head OUT of the drive-through window.

Once the weather is better my BF and I plan to this. There is a Tim's visible from the property and it would be easy, we just aren't doing much riding in the cold.

I tried it with a friend once when we were younger.
I seem to recall that they wouldn't serve us in the drive thru.

Used to do the DQ eons ago. The owner encouraged us as the horses standing around attracted more customers for him. That was the only drive-through in that town that allowed horses, the rest would draw back in horror at the sound of hooves on the street and we would be shooed away.

The BO and a couple of boarders do this during the nice weather. Ride into town to the local Timmies, get a coffee, and continue on their way. This Timmies even keeps a bucket of water out for the horses on those really hot summer days.

Mc D's in Fort Worth welcomes riders.
Some around here have dog treats also, as banks do.
Never hurts to be nice to ALL customers, even furry and four legged ones.
Interesting about that canadian place.
