Glogg! I steeped some orange peel, cinnamon sticks, and a few cloves in vodka for 24 hours, added 1/4 cup sugar and a bottle of red, mixed in a saucepan over low heat, and a voila! Tasty Christmas nightcap. This, of course, followed the pre-dinner Piper Heidsieck and the with-dinner cab.
Oh i am SO making this for my next gathering! mmmm. like a warm spicy sangria! I just drank wine. Lots of wine. I was tipsy before we even started the appetizers!

My Christmas drink of choice was Zombie Killer, my favorite thing ever. Very festive I know. If you are a person who likes ciders or sparkling wines, you should try it. It is hard to find though, at least where I am.
Not much of a drinker anymore, but since we were invited for Christmas I had what was served: Kir Royal (2) and red Côtes-du-Rhône wine with dinner. It was just about right. I get headaches so easily now, it's terrible.
