Heck yes I rode!
I rode the beef in the double. He could've been more through but not awful. We finished with trot Halts off the seat an the curb in my outside hand.
Rode H on the trail. He really gave a good gallop on the final stretch.
Santa didn't being me a horse this Christmas because he couldn't find a horse better than the Ones I already have.
No. The ring was too wet, and the field is still off limits since it's pretty chopped up since the GM clinic. So I went out to feed the mare her beep and pellets and had the barn all to myself - it was so nice and quiet.
I rode yesterday afternoon and it was a great experience for my young one. Neighbors on one side were shooting, neighbors across the street had a touch football game going on, and people were walking on the road in front (the road is screened by a line of trees and brush so people can be heard but not seen - except for brief flashes when they quickly appear and then disappear). He did a great job of working through all the distractions.
Today I piddled around until it was too late to ride.
Heck NO!!! Wind chill about 10 degrees and a wind blowing so hard you could hardly walk to the barn!!! If I DID manage to get on a horse...we would have been blown three states away!! Our Indian Summer is gone!!
