I got mine on Christmas Eve, so it wound up in my stocking - a nice reminder of a great year

I got mine. But it came from the registry, not from USDF. Are there things which come from USDF directly? Rider medals maybe?

Interesting. I didn't show this year (broken arm in May), but my 2011 awards arrived (unexpectedly) several months into 2012. Sometime after Sept. 2011, I inquired re awards and was told to print them off the website. Whoopee!! Then months later separate awards (medals) arrived. Strange.

My barn mates got their rider medals....I'm still waiting (Literally in bed with the flu and the award would so cheer me up)

Examine your rider medals carefully when they come. I'd be interested to see if any of you notice what I noticed on MY bronze medal.

    Maybe mine is just "special".

Mine has a broken clasp for the pin part...but since I won't be pinning it on clothes, I didn't care enough to complain.

But, now that I look at it I notice the rider doesn't appear to have legs.

I've had all five of my medals for years (I keep forgetting to apply for the silver freestyle.) All of mine have a full horse and rider with legs. The regular medals have 3 d detail, the freestyle medals just have a flat outline.

    What's "special?"

The reflection from the flash might hide the lack of a leg.

Is this what you are referring to ThreeFigs?

Yep, that's it! Poor quality control, IMO. Just wondered if there was also a problem with the Silver and Gold award medals.

OMG! I just looked at my 2011 Adequan/USDF All-Breeds Medals - same thing - missing legs! ROFLOL. Actually, I think that's the way it's intended and that "hollow" is supposed to represent the lower leg and part of a saddle pad (perhaps?). Too funny.
