Temporary Crown Won't Stay On - Help
I have a temporary crown that wont stay on. My dentists office is closed until after the new year. Have tried the denture stuff, no go. This is particularly awful because I cannot chew on the other side. Any ideas?

I knew somene who had the same problem and he got some adhesive at Walmart specifically for temporary crowns. I can't for the life of me think of what it was called. (sorry) It was in the dental aisle. Worked really well for him. Sorry you're having troubles.

Any chance you can get to another dentist this week?

When my temporary crown came off and I had my appointment for the permanent crown booked for 3 days later, and no time to rebook, I just used plain old toothpaste. It stung a bit when I plastered it on the little shaved off tooth, but it managed to stay on for the 3 days, and I am a big eater!!

Ditto to the stuff from Walgreens. But make sure you scrape all of the old cement out of your temp before putting it on. Also don't over fill the temp with the glue BC you won't be able to clean up all of the excess that will squirt out and it can cause your gums to get very inflamed. Is it just coming off by itself, while you're eating, cleaning it? How does the bite feel? The temp should feel invisible.

I've never known of one that did stay on
Toothpaste worked for me too.

When my son got a crown his dentist told him if it came off to mix a little flour and water to make a paste and stick it back on with that. It worked!
