    Default Interesting Behavior

The new dude has a habit of standing over our JRT while she's playing with a toy. He'll stand there all night, then if she gets up to walk off, he'll wander off to do his own thing.

Is it a dominance thing? She pretty much runs the show when the cat is napping. Even though he's the un-neutered 50lb one, it's the little 25lb female that does the humping (which I know can be a dominance thing).

I was just wondering what the deal was? I've never seen it before.

Possibly dominance. Might also be a desire to play but a lack of proper social skills. Kind of like a kid awkwardly standing next to the kid playing with a cool toy because he doesn't know how to ask if he can join in. Have they played at all yet or do they just coexist?

They romp for hours, taking turns flopping one another, zooming from one side of the house to the other. They sound like elephants!

He has some weird quirks, like being terrified of walking through door ways. He sits and shakes for a minute, then LEAPS through as fast as he can and then lays down as fast as ever he can on the other side. He's also petrified by getting in and out of the car, and if you reach to pat his head he tucks his tail and lays down.

The social awkwardness makes TOTAL sense now that you mention it, given his quirks. He's a sweetie, but a lovable odd duck.
