    Default Trail rentals in LA/OC/Riverside?

I want to take a novice friend on a trail ride tomorrow. We're near Pomona, so someplace within an hour would be good. Just looking for a place with good horse care, preferably not the kind of hack horses that you have to constantly kick just to keep them at a walk :P

    Thanks!

Due to liability, few places offer trail rides anymore, and I can't think of any place that offers trail rides without dead quiet horses. Nearby is Marshall Canyon Equestrian Center http://www.marshallcyn.com/Guided_Trail_Rides.html
Bonelli Park Equestrian Center is also near you and formerly offered trail rides but I think the current operator went out of business in July. There may still be a stable in Norco that offers river rides. Can't think of anything else in the area.

There's no place in Norco that does rentals that I would want to encourage by giving $$$ to.

What about Sunset Ranch? A bit far but it's a fun day, lots of other stuff to do in the area. http://www.sunsetranchhollywood.com/

My friend boards at Los Angeles Equestrian Center, but when she wants to trail ride in Griffith Park, she rents from Magnolia Stables, right behind LAEC. That's not the only place, though.

If it's this week, there is a lot going on at LAEC. Most of the equestrians in the Rose Parade board there. There is a big Equest Fest sometime before the parade which most of the equestrians participate in with trick riding and jousting and such. It's really cool.

    Good luck!
