looking for training buddies - Fair Hill, MD
I recently moved my horse to a new barn about 15 minutes from Fair Hill. I'm excited to have such a great place to train, but now I have no riding buddies! My horse is a mid-pack 50-mile endurance horse, so we move along at a decent pace, but we don't tear around like yahoos Lots of trotting, some cantering. He's an excellent leader and sets a steady pace, so if someone's looking for a confidence-building horse to ride with, he's your guy. Weekends only. PM me if you're interested...
RIP Victor... I'll miss you, you big galumph.

Did you guys get hooked up? If not, I know of a person who is training her horse for 25 mile CTR's and endurance. She might appreciate some company. I'm trying to get my mare going, but she's just getting started after a 2-year lay up upon retiring from the track. Baby steps....

We did actually get a ride in a couple of weeks ago- although I am afraid I may be a bit too slow for BHLH as she is a bit farther along in endurance than I am. It was really helpful to have someone to keep pace with as I 99% of the time train alone
So if you know anyone else Matryoshka that would be interested in doing training rides, I'd be very game. I am usually at Fair Hill 1 or 2 days a week and 1 day at Nottingham because I know that BHLH can't get to Fair Hill as often as I can

It sounds like tab and I would be better suited once I have my mare going reliably--gotta spend more time with her. My mare is a bit racy from her days at the track, and I don't know how much of an issue that will be for another horse. I do not plan to let her get away with it, but I also don't know how ingrained she is about it yet.
I think my friend rides at a decent trot, but I'll have to make sure. I pm'd BHLH.
